Samurai Sudoku is an overlapping puzzle variant consisting of five standard 9x9 Sudoku grids. It is an endurance challenge meant for advanced players looking for a longer solving session.

The Structure

The puzzle is arranged in an "X" shape. There is one central 9x9 grid, and four surrounding 9x9 grids situated at the four corners. The corner grids share exactly one 3x3 block with the central grid.

The Rules

The rules are exactly the same as standard Sudoku. Every row, column, and 3x3 box within each of the five 9x9 grids must contain the digits 1-9 exactly once. The trick is that the four overlapping 3x3 blocks must simultaneously satisfy the rules of the central grid AND their respective corner grid.
